Biography

Multi-instrumentalist Mario Ponce has been writing and recording music since the age of thirteen. He has been a member of a series of local bands throughout the (so.cal) south-bay area as a drummer, bass player, lead guitarist and singer. After years of recording various eight and four-track demos the groundwork was laid for his first self-titled debut CD, "Grand Spark". He has received praise from Grammy-nominated producer Scot Matthews, gained distribution from east coast staple power-pop lable Jam Records, and has been enjoying steady sales and exposure on CDbaby.com as well as regular airplay on Trouserelf.com. An Ep, (Superba,working title)is scheduled for a forth quarter release.
